HOW IT PLAYS

A few rules. A table full of possibilities.

01

Name your number

Each player bids zero to thirteen tricks. Your two bids make the partnership contract. Zero is nil.

02

Follow suit. Watch trump.

Follow the led suit if possible; spades beat the other suits. Once broken, spades can lead.

03

Make the contract

Meet the team bid, manage extra-trick bags, and protect a nil bid. The standard match races to 500 points.

THE PEOPLE AT THE TABLE

Better together.

Partners sit opposite each other and share the consequences of every contract. Local bot play is implemented, including a bot partner. Simple online seating is being developed; public multiplayer is not yet available.

WHAT CARRIES FORWARD

The score has a story.

Team scores, contracts, and bags carry across hands in the current match. Local bot matches do not persist after restart. A lasting online rank or shared account history is not promised.

Current availability

THE WORKSHOP · Spades

From the developers

What we’re building, what we’re improving, and what made us laugh.

On the workbench

Design direction

The bid, the score, the current trick, and your next action should be easy to understand. Everything else needs a good reason to occupy the screen.

Availability: App visuals and rules available; app remains in internal testing.
