Reel Fun: a fresh cast. Same enormous grin.

A new fishing game is taking shape at 4OH, with colorful fish, welcoming waters and a deeply unreliable supply of fish stories.

Work described: Reel Fun joins the 4OH workbench with original fish and world artwork. Game development and testing are underway.

There is a new fish at the workbench.

Meet Reel Fun, a new fishing game in development at Four of Hearts. Bright water, colorful fish, and a simple idea: aim, cast, reel. We are trying to keep the controls straightforward. The fish are handling the personality department.

You may have seen the project called Reel Happy in its early kit. It is now Reel Fun. The name changed; the cheerful fish and playful direction stayed put. Sensible creatures. Moving is a nuisance.

Good ingredients. A little pond plumbing.

The supplied art and design catalogue includes 36 distinct fish and six fishing worlds, plus angler, clothing and tackle ideas. Sunny Pond, Coral Cove and Glow Lagoon already have original scenery to admire. These are design materials and static artwork, not a claim that every world or feature is finished.

Sunburst, the orange-gold fish with turquoise freckles, brings its own sunshine. A useful member of the team, although its expense reports are mostly bubbles.

A cast worth getting right.

The intended loop keeps things friendly: aim at visible fish, cast, let the bite set the hook automatically, then reel for a cheerful close-up. Quick catches and a clear next step are the goal. Repetitive tapping has been politely asked to leave the dock.

Implementation and testing are underway. The new website page shows original art previews; it does not announce a public playable build, app-store release or download. We will share tested gameplay when it is ready. For now, come meet the fish. They have several excellent stories, and absolutely no witnesses.
