From Search to Opportunity: Building Whomly

How a search-first interface can turn public professional research into useful context and a thoughtful next step.

Whomly interface showing public professional search, profiles, AI-assisted context, and outreach preparation

Start with the question

Whomly begins with the person you are trying to find: a general counsel in Chicago, a healthcare innovation leader, a potential board member, or a specialist whose public work fits the problem in front of you.

The search interface is being designed to accept useful professional criteria without turning research into an endless directory.

Public research, organized

The hard part is rarely finding one more public page. It is understanding why a person may be relevant. Whomly is designed to organize publicly available professional information into readable context, saved people, and lists the user controls.

AI-assisted summaries and outreach drafts may help with the work, but the boundary matters: public professional context in, user-reviewed preparation out. No private-profile access, automatic contact, or release date is being claimed.
