FOUR OF HEARTS · THE CARD TABLE

Gin Rummy

Two players. Ten cards. One good read.

Collect the cards you need. Notice the ones your opponent wants. A classic two-player game where a quiet discard can say plenty.

HOW IT PLAYS

A few rules. A table full of possibilities.

01

Draw, then discard

Start with ten cards each. On your turn, take a card from the stock or discard pile, then discard one.

02

Find sets and runs

Group three or four cards of one rank, or three or more consecutive cards in the same suit. Unmatched cards are deadwood.

03

Know when to knock

In standard Gin Rummy, knock with ten deadwood points or fewer after discarding. No deadwood means gin. Your opponent may still undercut a knock.

THE PEOPLE AT THE TABLE

A table for two.

Gin Rummy is joining the Four of Hearts collection with a working online development build. Two-player joining and play have passed development testing. The idea is a simple way to sit across from another player and enjoy a thoughtful match. Public internet play is not yet available.

WHAT CARRIES FORWARD

The score has a story.

Rejoining after a page reload and recovering a match after a service restart have passed development tests. Scores belong to the current match; there is no public ranking. This website page does not create an account or store a game.

Current availability

A working development build is being tested. Public hosting, secure internet access, and downloadable packages are not yet available here. The illustration is original concept art; the expandable preview shows the actual development build.
